Projects we are working on
The Power of Rural Women of India. We have partnered up with Frontier Innovations Foundation in the states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in India to capture the voice and influence of powerful women entrepreneurs who are the epicenter of impact behind the She Leads Bharat movement which will unlock the potential of 1 million sheroes to help 100 million families flourish.
The Kung Fu Nuns - Portraits of the Gender Champions of the Himalayas. A collaboration with Live to Love International where we traveled to Kathmandu to the Druk Amitabha Monastery to capture the life and work of the remarkable Drukpa Nuns, who among other deeds practice self defense and teach it to economically disadvantaged girls around the Himalayas. This project is the recipient of the New York State Council on the Arts FY23 grant.
Chata. In this body of work we captured locals in the intimacy of their home amid the devastating second wave in Kathmandu, Nepal.
"Chata" translates to rooftop in Nepali where life abundantly unfolded while authorities enforced a rigorous curfew on civilians to stop the spreading of the newly discovered delta variant in May 2021 which pushed the country's healthcare system to its meager limits.
Isolated from the outside world, leaving individuals to their own devices, this work celebrates resilience and hope in humanity.
